Different Types of Juicers

So you are ready to begin making your own juices but then you are faced with the task of getting a juicer. There are a couple types of juicers from which you can choose. On the market today you will find three main types and the right one for your needs should be chosen so as to give you the best value. These three mains types are the Masticating, Centrifugal and the triturating juicers. Let’s take at look at them individually.

Masticating juicer

If your main concern is not speed or you are not worried about juicing in a quick period of time then you should have a look at the masticating juicer. If you want to ensure that the extraction works in the best way possible then this is the juicer for you. The masticating juicer is run by a single gear and fruits and vegetables will be working in a rotating manner so as to extract as much juice as possible. Since this is a more thorough extraction process the masticating juicer will take up more time to extract than other juicers such as the centrifugal juicer. Even though this is the case you can be sure that you will be receiving the highest in the quality of juices every time you sue the masticating juicer.

Another good thing about the masticating juicer is that you can use it to make many different things. Ice cream, sauces and even butter can be made. This is the best option for a versatile machine.

Centrifugal Juicer

These are faster juicers. If you don’t want to spend a lot of time making juices and you want a quick machine then the centrifugal juicer will fit our needs. These juicers will grind up the fruits or the vegetables into very small pieces and then it will force everything down into a strainer where the juice can be extracted. One of the many benefits if the centrifugal juicer is that it has a very high spin cycle and this in turn makes juicing with this machine a very speedy process.

As soon as the juice has been extracted the pulp will be emptied into a compartment where you can remove it and discard it. Since the centrifugal juicer is very quick at making juices it doesn’t always get to extract the full amount of juice that could have been extracted. These types of juicers are also not able to juice wheat.

Triturating juicer

Out of all 3 major juicer types this is the most efficient one but the speed is significantly slower than other juicers.  It grinds the fruit or vegetable, very thoroughly, This juicer is very thorough in juicing and so it takes quite some time to juice. If you need a very good juicer for your kitchen and time is not an important factor then the triturating juicer is the juicer for you. This juicer crushes fruits and vegetables in a spinning cycle. The crushed contents are then transported to another section of the juicer where it can be extracted. This juicer is able to process a wide range of produce and many different attachments and features come with these types of juices. The price of this juicer is also much higher than the rest. Normally the cost would be somewhere around $1,000 making this machine for serious juicers.
